Michael Saccomanno is in his eleventh year as Director of Choral Activities as Mead High School where he directs Concert Choir, Chamber Singers, and Jazz Choir.
An accomplished musician, Mr. Saccomanno is in demand as a choral clinician and adjudicator and is noted by choirs for his creative approach to choral ensemble singing. He is equally comfortable as a pianist, organist, conductor, composer, and vocalist.
Mr. Saccomanno attended Eastern Washington University and Whitworth University, earning bachelors and masters degrees in music and education. His conducting mentors include Fabio Mechetti, Dr. Randal Wagner, Dr. Debbie Hansen, Fabio Costa, and Dr. Marc A. Hafso. Additionally, he recently completed coursework and a 540-hour internship to earn his administrative certification through Gonzaga University.
Outside of school, Mr. Saccomanno is happily married toMead High School teacher Carolyn Saccomanno and the always proud father to Annika and Emmaline and our beagle, Millie. He enjoys watching college sports, cooking, and spending time with his (large!) family.
